this what my daily life entails and I love every part of it.
Take today for instance. Mark is on holiday this week so I am doing work stuff that I can do whilst watching movies (no 'proper' holidays for us at the moment!).
So we have a late breakfast of bacon sarnie (yum - a wee holiday treat) then an even later lunch of homemade soup and an apple and blackcurrant crumble with greek yoghurt which was leftover from last nights dinner. (I wish all my lunches were that yummy when working from home - but today I have Mark to do these things!) I also wish I was a little more organised in order to take lovely home-y shots of gorgeous dinners that I see on so many other blogs that I admire. You know the ones - golden autumn light across the lovely homecooked food in rustic dish atop home-embroidered tablecloth. I wish I could take photos like that! Alas, dinner is always eaten before I remember to do these things.
In-between all that, I am sewing and finishing items to have stocked up for all the up-and-coming xmas fairs I have the next couple of months (see my sidebar for details) and sewing and painting dolls. Whilst watching movies. How many jobs would allow you to watch movies from the comfort of you couch (whilst wearing pajama's if you wished) all day and still get work done? Ok so this is a particularly relaxed 'work-day' for me and I do not often wallow infront of the TV whilst working - but hey - it still feels a luxury!
Oh and as for choice of films - I do have a habit of saying I am going to watch a comedy and then realising that what I remember as being a 'comedy' actually has a wee bit of sadness to it to - today Little Miss Sunshine - the other day it was Stranger than Fiction - both great films!
So there is my day - not exactly a typical day but lovely nonetheless.
Above one of my latest felted scarves - I am loving experimenting with different textures and finishes on these and can't wait to try more. Now available in my shop.
Hope you are having a great week.
