......I disappear for a decade and a half (or so it would seem) and return to a new all-singing, all-dancing, how in the world do I navigate around this thing, typad............ bear with me, I will try my very best to get used to it asap!
I am so sorry for my disappearing act yet again. Thank you so much for any comments left in my absence and for visiting. No excuses but just busyness (no complaints there - tis a good thing!), illness, blogging malaise, family illness and again a dilemma between 'boring' everyone with constant work/business/self promotion and my discomfort about personal blogging - I have a funny feeling that I will never reach a proper balance in this area but I shall try and carry on regardless for now!
Anyway, I really have so much to catch up on and write but in an effort to just get on with it, I shall pretend there hasn't been a 2 month gap and tell you what is happening now.
I guess one of the most exciting things for me, is that after a long period of neglecting my painting for one reason or another, I have just in the last week or so completed 2 larger pieces which are to be part of an exhibition this weekend. It is so good to be painting again and although these are not hugely different from my previous work I am still pleased and enjoying messing around with paint and pencil and losing myself in my studio (more photos to come soon - it is a fine old mess but I love it all the same!). I have so many ideas buzzing around my brain and work to complete for another upcoming exhibition so am hoping to get back in there this weekend.
The above painting is called 'The dance of life' and possibly my favourite of the two is the piece below, 'The moonlit performance'.
Both at around 16 x 20 inches (I think... I stupidly forgot to measure them before sending them off to be exhibited!) they will be in the annual 'Danse Macabre' exhibition, from 12th to 16th November, details of which are here.
Ok I shall say cheerio for now and I will be back soon with some very exciting news!!!
