Tilly collects the past, a scrap of fabric here, a tea-stained piece of antique lace there. Each button holds a memory; each loop of crochet lace represents the pattern of stories and rhythms of a particular moment in time.
They are treasured pieces, some to adorn the surfaces of a time worn home, some to be hidden away for safe-keeping and only handled when a particular memory comes to mind and a tale needs to be told.
I have a few new characters to show you - the ones in Nottingham Contemporary and a few who will be on their way the Harding House Gallery in Lincoln sometime tomorrow (they are not so new but just having a change of scenery!)
Dont forget that you can see my upcoming events and sign up to my newsletter on my website here.
Thank you so much for your kind words for myself and Mark - still no sign of him coming home but I am managing to visit daily which is pretty exhausting, especially at this time of year as anyone in the craft business knows, but it does us both the world of good to have that wee time every day together.
More updates soon hopefully.
