this poor wee neglected space.... how I miss it...and you.
But not too worry!! Life has been hectic, but good and now I am on the home straight to some much needed time off over the holidays. I have my last craft fair event this weekend and it is a three day affair so am still busy making and creating , printing and wrapping, stitching and labelling..... so much to do but then it will be over for this year. 'Making' things has felt like a bit of a production line in the run up to these fairs but I am going to be making some changes to my work (more details to come soon...........)
I have new dolls to photograph (I think I am going to stop calling them dolls as people I speak to have a very fixed idea of what 'they' might be and it is always difficult to describe them - therefore they shall be now known as 'characters' or when trying to sound professional (heehee) 'mixed media sculptures')...
and I have not even had a chance to photograph the many accessories, scarves, corsages and bits and pieces that I have been making for all these events I have been participating in. But never mind!
The one thing I am sad about is that both my etsy shop's have been very, very neglected in the run up to the holidays, but I have very much realised that I cannot do everything with equal emphasis and unfortunately my online stores have been the ones to suffer. However it has been wonderful showing and selling my work in a much more personal way - being able to see reactions to my work, chat to customers and meet them face to face - and that has been an invaluable experience.
On that note there will be some changes to my etsy stores in the new year - they are both closed for now but I will be doing a re-launch on Friday 2nd of January - check back for updates. I have been thinking alot about my work and the direction it is taking and have some decisions to make but will reveal all soon.
Due to me not being having time and/or light to photograph new work, above is another photograph from our visit to Holy Island on our return from Scotland - just look at that sky!
Hoping to post again before the holidays if only to pass on good wishes to you all!!
Take care and will be back soon. xxx
Have a lovely Christmas and rest! x
