Gosh well that all went by in a flurry – 2008 before I even knew it. I do hope you all had a wonderful time over the festive season and a cracking New Year.
As for myself we had a fairly quiet affair which involved a couple of films, a coal fire, a few wee drinks, and seeing the new year in with the traditional watching of Jools Holland's Hootenanny. (For all you non Brit’s, this is a presenter with an amazing rhythm and blues orchestra and a plethora of very cool bands and solo artists featured each new year with lots of stars in the audience) – It was this new year that I discovered the awesome Seasick Steve – how the heck had I never heard of this guy before – he is incredible!!! We have been looking at gig tickets on the net and have our eye on his Birmingham
So although I am not one to make a strict list of new years resolutions (due to the fact that I am immediately prone to breaking them) I do vow to really get myself and my fledgling business organised this year. Although 2007 was amazing in so many ways, not least the fact that I managed to return to the my long neglected love of creating and painting and actually managed to begin to sell work, at times it has been a real struggle. Time management is certainly not my strong point and I really need to make much more of opportunities that may pass my way as well as seeking out new ones. I have a long way to go to becoming more confident about presenting my work to others and this is something I vow to work on this year. I am determined to make my business work and grow my very small developing cottage industry into something sustainable in the long term. Whew!
Above we have a couple of new books available in my shop as well as more of those cuffs that I just cannot seem to stop making – they are my relaxation of an evening and I was over the moon to discover one had been featured on this wonderful blog (scroll down abit to find).
So this is my 99th blog post with typepad (I started with blogger but will be relating my blogging history to this blog only) and after it was my 1 year anniversary on the 28th of December it is definitely time to have a lovely give away! I am still contemplating the ‘package to be’ but if you leave a comment between now and next Wednesday (8th Jan) then your name will be entered into a prize draw for a wee parcel of goodies.
I really just want to thank you all for your amazing support and friendship over the last year – I have appreciated every single comment and reader whether regular or occasional.
Wishing you all love peace and prosperity for 2008! xxx
Happy new year, hope you have a wonderful 2008! x

We discovered Seasick Steve on New Year's Eve too! He's quite something, isn't he? Good luck with the coming year; I intend to do something similar with my own fledgeling little shop on etsy. Here's to great things for us all!
