Well good day to you my dears. It is much later on this lovely Friday than I had intended on writing this and the day has completely gone in a flurry of domestic duties (half-hearted and really - why does it hurt so much to hoover?), dreaming and drawing (with all my heart and soul) and etsy shop mishaps which I shall not bore you with the details of.
So a relatively short post this evening. I really need to give my etsy Artwork shop some love and attention as it is looking very empty and neglected. But I am looking forward to building the work up in there in the next few weeks.
Of course there are the prints which have been ordered and hopefully they will be making an appearance as will postcards (coming soon) some 2 dimensional puppets (ideas brewing and sketching in progress) and some one of a kind art dolls (dreaming and making plans as we speak - again sketching and sampling and feeling very excited about these). All these are ideas I have had for so long and now I feel I may just have the chance to work through them and bring them to life - finally. I am so excited and inspired and overwhelmed right now! I really want to put my sewing skills to use in my artwork - after all I do have that degree in costume design!
Here are two new art cards just place in the art shop today. Above we have She Watches and to the right here we have She Waits.
I am really hoping to develop the focus of my blog next week as I am aware that it is very me centred. So there will be features on artists and other etsy sellers perhaps once a week and I also have an idea which I have been mulling over for a wee while which I will reveal in my first post of next week. (I would love to say Monday's post but I know I am not as efficient at blogging as I would like to be!)
Mmm this has been a very matter of fact post today! I do apologise for that!! All very serious and as if I am giving some kind of public service announcement - I am a living, breathing, feeling, buzzing, excitable, and adventure loving (of the dreaming rather than physical) person really!
I just have to highlight a couple of food related things quickly. First I was beyond excited to receive our very first farm delivered organic fruit and vegetable box today!! We decided that we want to support local produce more rather thant the hideous supermarkets who get everything from gazillions of miles away if it is cheaper. So the local farms have formed a co-operative where they can deliver organic seasonal produce right to your very door! And this to me is a revelation. They even include recipe sheets of interesting things to do with your goodies! As the items change from week to week we will hopefully be able to discover new ways of eating and be healthier all at the same time.
It is not an inexpensive thing to do but the difference in taste!! Makes it more than worthwhile. You may remember that in my tags I listed a few of my favourite foods and one of them is cucumber - well it still is but 10 times more than before! How can organic cucumber taste so different! Wonderful! And here it is with my lunch of garlic and olive oil rubbed toast with parma ham, pesto and stilton cheese - a decidedly delicious combination.
Okay I have to be off now - but today is the last day to comment in order to be entered into the prize draw mentioned in this post, the name will be drawn on Sunday - I am very excited about it!
Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to check out my etsy accessories shop which now has all the items transferred into it. We are away over night tomorrow night but I shall put a note of my Saturday Night Special offer here in my blog and also in the shop front should you wish to take advantage!
Cheerio for now!!
This post is just shining with excitement! I cannot wait to see the puppets and art dolls. I've been giving thought to puppets myself but don't know if they will ever advance beyond my thoughts.
Oh and can I please share that delicious lunch with you!?

Can I share that lunch with you as well?? Looks very tasty. Thank you so much for all your kinds words. I am definitely hitting a rough patch right now and I am afraid the turbulence won't falter until the first week of May, but I can hang tight, work hard, and rest assured that it will all be good in the end. Thanks for the support!!
I can't wait for puppets!!! I love puppets!
