Well if you are a regular reader of this blog you may not, or you may think you know almost all there is to know already..................... or you may find out something new!!!

What am I on about? (indeed) If you  hop on over here, you can read my interview as featured artist for the month of June for the Nottingham Craft Mafia. My work will be featured on display in the 'Get Made' shop from this Thursday 4th June till end of the month.

It's kind of long (again my inability to write in a concise way) but there is also a wee reveal of the up and coming collaboration I have hinted at here on this blog - I promise to write more about it soon!

Well - it is about time I blogged about a bit of news which is overdue from about 3 (or 4?) weeks ago!!

You may or may not have heard of the Craft Mafia - a wonderful group founded in 2003 in Austin, TX by a group of women through a shared appreciation and love of craft. Anyway, from the original group many more additions to the familia have been born in other states in the US, cities in the UK (and elsewhere) and now Nottingham has it's very own craft mafia! It has all happened very swiftly and I am lucky to have become a member so early into the adventure.

What is equally exciting is that already we have our very own shop! The founding members have worked their fingers to the bone getting this venture off the ground and now Get Made has opened it's doors to the public with a lovely opening party a few short weeks ago. Currently representing around 15 artistic and craftastic members things have been working out wonderfully. Excuse the terrible photos which were taken on a wet, windy and very chilly evening last week.

I am looking forward to more exciting ventures as part of this wonderful group! The shop is currently open 3 days a week (Thurs, Fri, Sat) and is situated on St James Street just off Market Square in Nottingham next to the Malt Cross. (Extra opening hours to be added in the run up to Christmas) Would be great to see you there!
